Lisa’s Saturday Night: Wicked Hollow and Roi & the Secret People at The Funhouse

Roi & the Secret People and Wicked Hollow met over the summer at Philadelphia’s Liberty Music Fest. Three months later, the two bands joined forces for a Saturday night for the ages at South Bethlehem’s Funhouse.

The charming underground venue, which plays host to live music seven nights per week, served as the perfect backdrop for a night of high-energy rock between a Valley mainstay and an out-of-area band worth your attention.

First up was Wicked Hollow. Hailing from Central Jersey, the four-piece displayed why they’re a band to watch with selections from “Vices” and “Resolution Revolution.”

Carrying us through the midnight hour was Roi & the Secret People, who offered The Funhouse its first glimpse of one of the Valley’s best and most versatile rock bands by playing favorites from its two albums, “Dog St.” and the more recent “Phoenix.”
