On the Road with Alex Mery & The Townsmen: Day #10 – We Made a Friend (or two)

Today, we spent a few hours in the car traveling through the rest of West Virginia and Kentucky, before finally arriving in Ohio. We had a double-header today in Cincinnati, starting out with a gig at Sitwell’s Coffeehouse.  This intimate, low-key environment was a perfect start to our day, with a few light tunes accompanied by delicious food.

Afterwards, we packed up the gear in the trailer and headed to The Listing Loon in northside Cincinnati, where we met up with local act Ethan & Joey for a fun night of music and shenanigans.  The guys were both very pleasant and talented, and we had a blast playing a show with them.  Hopefully our paths will cross again in the future soon.

After a late night stop at Waffle House, we are getting tucked in and settled down for the night.  Tomorrow is a long haul across a majority of Pennsylvania as we begin to make the trek home. If you’re in the area, stop by Harrisburg (6/30), Philadelphia (7/1), or Bangor (7/2 – our home show!)  to see us play live and pick up a copy of our newly released Folklore EP.  See you soon, PA!
