Dina Hall, Jenn McCracken to Present Emmylou Harris Tribute
Emmylou Harris is a living legend, an American singer and songwriter, prominent on both the folk and country music scenes since 1969.
Born April 2, 1947, 2017 marks the celebration of her 70th birthday. Emmylou Harris is a self-described “gatherer of songs,” with a knack for choosing songs written by other notable musicians, as well as performing and recording with some of the best of them. She can easily sing harmony alongside legends like Graham Parsons, Mark Knofler, Dolly Parton, and Steve Earle, or contemporary artists like Dave Matthews and Bright Eyes.
On Saturday, October 14, Dina Hall and Jenn McCracken have teamed up to present “Songbird: A Tribute to Emmylou Harris.” The pair will have assistance from other regional musician,s including guitarist Andy Killcoyne, bassist Nick Franclik, and drummer Todd Scheid. Special guests include Andrew Portz, Alex Radus, Kathleen Weber and Charlie Mark.
