The Sherwood Brothers to Present ‘A Very Merry Acoustic Christmas’ at SteelStacks

Grab your cowboy boots and Santa hats! Philly’s The Sherwood Brothers are set to present ‘A Very Merry Acoustic Christmas’ this Saturday, Dec. 16 at the ArtsQuest Center at SteelStacks. This show is a rocking night of Christmas cheer and merrymaking with this six-piece alt-country band.

The Sherwood Brothers will holiday favorites with their unique flavor of “plugged in” acoustic music. “Father Christmas,” “Run Run Rudolph,” and “Christmas All Over Again” are just a few tunes those in attendance can expect to hear, as well as a rendition of “Carol of the Bells,” which can be seen here.

The band will also debut its new Christmas song, “All I’m Asking For This Christmas” written by brothers Darryl and Dennis Sherwood and honorary brother Neal Petti. The single is a homage to the Christmas classics of their youths.

The Sherwood Brothers had a busy year, highlighted by the release of their album, “Pieces of You and Me.” This special holiday performance will showcase another side of their musical talents and love of the season.

“We truly love the Christmas season, and wanted to do something special again this year for our fans,” says guitarist Dennis Sherwood.  “We’d like to build a yearly tradition with friends and family, and all who have supported our band.”

Darryl Sherwood leads the band with his brother Dennis (guitar and vocals) and Neal Petti (mandolin, guitar, and vocals). The band is rounded out by Shelley Beard Santore (violinist), Paul Bagnell (drums), and Ed Paone (bass).

Tickets are $15. Doors open at 7 p.m., with the show starting at 8 p.m. with opening act Isabella Egan. Tickets can be purchased here, and more information is available on Facebook.
