The Groove Merchants to Headline #LVUFirstFriday May 4 at Godfrey Daniels

We’re wasting no time putting together the May 2018 lineup for the Lehigh Valley Underground First Friday Concert Series, and we have a special treat for you at Godfrey Daniels.

On Friday, May 4, hot blues rock band The Groove Merchants will come to South Bethlehem’s legendary listening room, located at 7 E. 4th St., for an intimate set that will present the band as they’ve never been heard before.

The five-piece — consisting of Tye Vallone (vocals/guitar/percussion), Luke Ferracone (lead guitar), John Evin Groome (bass), Anthony Guidotti (drums), and Dylan Hinnershitz (trumpet) — put out their full-length album, “Take It,” in late 2016. The quintet aren’t strangers to First Friday, having played the official after party at SouthSide 313 on our maiden voyage in September. Recently, Vallone has also been seen performing around the SouthSide in conjunction with the event.

This special engagement will begin at 7:30 p.m., with a $10 suggested donation at the door. The Lehigh Valley Underground First Friday Concert Series is presented in conjunction with SouthSide Arts District and Banko Beverage Co. Additional lineup announcements for the May edition of #LVUFirstFriday are to come as early as this week. Stay tuned!
