Be ‘Discovered’ This Weekend at the Historic Allentown Fairgrounds

Musicians: need plans to play out this Memorial Day Weekend, and want to be “Discovered” by new audiences? We have just the thing this weekend at the Historic Allentown Fairgrounds!

As part of the first annual Great Pennsylvania Music and Arts Celebration (PennMArt) this Memorial Day Weekend, we’ll be hosting our own special Lehigh Valley Underground Discovery Stage on Saturday and Sunday from 12-3 p.m.

The Discovery Stage — an open mic format accommodating to soloists and duos — will be hosted at the Fairgrounds’ Farmerama Stage for the duration of the weekend. Performers will have the chance to play two songs apiece before a live audience and a team of judges. Each day, a winner and runner-up will be selected. Each day’s winner will have the opportunity to stick around and open their respective evening’s festivities at the Pennsylvania Dutch, Polka, and Rock Schtell inside of the Fairgrounds’ Agri-Plex, slated to begin at 4 p.m.

Meanwhile, the winner and runner-up from each day will be invited back to perform a half-hour set apiece on the Lehigh Valley Underground Discovery Showcase, taking place back on the Farmerama Stage on Memorial Day, Monday, May 28 from 12-3 p.m.

Sound like fun? Join us at the Fairgrounds to be “Discovered,” and perform your hearts out this holiday weekend. We’re taking advance registrations via the form below!

Note: Soloists and duos only. No full bands, please.
