A little (or a lot) of rain couldn’t stop our train on Saturday afternoon.
Even with the day’s unfavorable forecast, the first day of Historic Bethlehem Museums and Sites’ annual Blueberry Festival went off without a hitch, and we got to be part of the festivities with the first-ever Lehigh Valley Underground Blueberry Jam.
Keeping things light and fun for those in attendance was an afternoon of bright pop rock courtesy of young local acts, including acoustic duo January Noon and the full band version of Cubbage. The soul and skill onstage kept festival patrons happy and dry underneath the festival’s brewery tent as the rains began to pick up throughout the afternoon.
Following the afternoon’s scheduled performances was the open mic portion of the Blueberry Jam, which was graced by several solo and duo acts who braved the elements to perform a couple tunes apiece on a festival stage. Those acts included, in order of appearance, The Ancient Oaks, Kara Hartzell, George Young, Bobby Siegfried, and Jay-T.
