PHOTOS: Lehigh Valley Underground First Friday Concert Series, August 2018

While Bethlehem was beginning ten days of Musikfest on August 3, there was more than one festival in town.

The August 2018 edition of the Lehigh Valley Underground First Friday Concert Series took over South Bethlehem on Friday, August 3, with all performances taking place despite rains in the area.

The weather caused Roi and the Secret People’s scheduled Banko Beverage Co. Beer Garden performance to be moved inside of the Comfort Suites Hill to Hill Grille, where local singer-songwriter Rameen Shayegan had performed earlier in the evening. Meanwhile, The Groove Merchants got most of their Beer Garden set in before it was called due to weather, and folks also enjoyed performances from Jay-T at EZ Money; Brian Kibler at Molly’s Irish Grille and Sports Pub; Chris Aguayo, Trouble City All-Stars, and The Lunch Trucks at The Funhouse; Julie Williams at Domaci; and a late-night 610 Underground Dance Party at Color Me Mine Lehigh Valley.

Next time, it’s the one-year anniversary of First Friday, with a twin bill of The Beautiful Distortion and Eighteenth Hour on the South Bethlehem Greenway on Friday, September 7. More lineup announcements are coming soon! Thanks to our partners at SouthSide Arts District, Martin Guitar, Banko Beverage Co., Molly’s Irish Grille & Sports Pub, and 610 Underground for making this series possible!
