Spotify has announced that it will hold a series of events beginning this fall, meant to give working artists the opportunity to learn from music industry experts on a variety of topics.
The Co.Lab events, part of the company’s Spotify for Artists platform, will begin this fall in New York or Los Angeles, and require prospective attendees to fill out a brief application to be considered to attend. Topics addressed this fall will include collaboration, release strategies, touring, merch, and revenue streams, and will feature panels consisting of label reps, touring experts, and creative directors.
This news comes on the heels of Spotify announcing that independent musicians can now upload their music to the streaming service at their own accord. Learn more about that process here.
