Cooking Up Tasty Jams at HOME

When I was getting ready to make the move to Nashville, I heard this a few times from friends back in PA.

“I hope you like country music!”

I do. If you’re looking for examples, this album’s one of my favorites in the genre. And it’s true: this place made its name by first being the epicenter of country.

However, those who come to Music City these days will find that there’s something for everybody here. Artists of all genres are here to create and collaborate, and it’s truly a beautiful thing.

I saw perhaps the best example of that this past Tuesday when I popped into Helping Our Music Evolve (HOME) for Jam Night. No style was off limits, and an entire room of musicians was inspired to come together in the venue’s performance space for a couple hours of genre-bending improvisation. Behold!

These jam nights will be happening periodically, and the best way to find out about them is to follow HOME on Facebook. Meanwhile, the best way to get a look at last Tuesday’s action (other than the videos above) is via the snapshots below!
