Back Home: First Friday ‘Springs’ into Action

By now, you might know that Underground Music Collective shows some love back home in Bethlehem, PA by presenting the Lehigh Valley Underground First Friday Concert Series alongside SouthSide Arts District.

The centerpiece of this month’s lineup is Come Together 2019, a benefit for No Place for Hate, a nationwide Anti-Defamation League anti-bullying initiative. The local benefit, organized by folk musician Michael Duck (Not For Coltrane), will feature the talents of Paul Simon Band bassist Bakithi Kumalo alongside local musicians Duck, Alyssa Allen, Bev Conklin, John Huie, and Dave Fry. Patrons can donate to the fundraiser in-person or via a GoFundMe page, and attendees can make their reservations here.

There’s more where that came from throughout Christmas City, with singer-songwriters James Whiteman, Andrew Dunn, Ben Tyler, and pop rock band MoJo all making their First Friday debuts. Returning artists include Brian Kibler and Shane Reimer, while Returning to the Southside are Brian Kibler and Shane Reimer, while jam band The Stray Seeds will provide you with a late-night option to keep you grooving.
