LISTEN: Foxtrot & the Get Down’s ‘Too Little, Too Late’

Philly’s Foxtrot & the Get Down are having a monster 2019 so far. They swung through Nashville on their way to SXSW last month, and they’ve made plans to follow that up with new music to add to their already impressive collection.

On April 5, they followed through on their promise with their latest single, “Too Little, Too Late.”

“Too Little, Too Late” starts wistfully, with stark, atmospheric keys underscoring frontman Colin Budny’s regretful reflection on days gone by. From there, however, hope builds in the form of a crescendo led by flying lead guitar work, a steadfast, pounding drum rhythm, and an anthemic refrain. By the end, we get the sense that, perhaps, it’s not too little, too late to make up for prior transgressions after all.
