Helping Our Music Evolve (HOME) — Nashville’s creative community space where musicians and creators of all disciplines come together and collaborate — celebrated its first birthday on Thursday night with Happy Homies Day, a celebration of music, art, fashion, creativity, culture, and the people who make it happen every day in Music City.
The event featured musical performances by Homies from a diverse array of genres — from acoustic singer-songwriters, to electropop, to rock, hip hop, and spoken word. On top of that, there were visual art displays; axe throwing presented by local league, BATL; refreshments; and even a fashion show from locally-based cultural organizations Mundane Magazine and Black Rose Designs.
All in all, Happy Homies Day was an inspiring cross-section of the creative community in Greater Nashville, giving those in attendance the opportunity to meet and appreciate the work of their fellow creators, strengthening the community and, surely, paving the way for future collaborations.
Congratulations to the team at HOME for creating an atmosphere worth celebrating! Take a look at the night through our lens below!
