Clayton — whom we met as one of eight finalists during June’s Top Writer Showdown at True Music Room — uses his distinctive deep baritone to sing of his affection for another, and his every intention on coming home to bask in that loving feeling — unless the beer gets in the way, of course.

Instrumentally, simple rhythms support the story, while effects-laden, lo-fi guitar and vocal work provides “Beer Flavored Kisses” with a fuzzy — some might say, hazy — edge.
