Or, in this case, in case you’re in your co-working space, plugging away for the upcoming week on the same night that some absolutely stellar female performers are set to take the stage in the room right next to you.

With that, we had the chance to enjoy Sad Girl Night at Helping Our Music Evolve (H.O.M.E.), a monthly series curated by indie pop artist Elisabeth Beckwitt. The series is intended to “celebrate the vulnerability, power, and beauty of some of Nashville’s most talented women” with an all-female-fronted lineup each time out.

Certainly, the women showcased on Sunday night can be counted among Nashville’s most talented. Along with that, each performer’s work came across as distinctive and authentic throughout the evening, starting with the earthy Americana tones of Jessi Robertson, and continuing through a dynamic performance from soul singer Michelle Brooke, the heartfelt pop-soul stylings of Chicago native Meagan Hickman, and a showstopping closing set from Americana powerhouses Nicole Boggs & the Reel.
