PROFILE: Getting to Know Ryan Weaver

On the surface, Ryan Weaver is a country artist. And, as his latest single “Time Like This” suggests, he can hold his own among the genre’s best. The hard-driving tune’s lyrics are rooted in the blue-collar values of persistence and perseverance, and its power is enhanced by a nod to Weaver’s classic rock influence, courtesy of an emotive guitar solo straight out of the Richie Sambora playbook.
Once you dig deeper, however, you quickly realize that “Time Like This” is representative of Ryan’s drive as an artist, businessman, and human being. Now known as The Patriotic Voice of the PBR (Professional Bull Riders), Ryan’s inspired mindset has taken him to large and legendary venues including Madison Square Garden, Bridgestone Arena, AT&T Stadium, The Grand Ole Opry, Ryman Auditorium, and others. Most impressively, Ryan has done it all independently, building a brand on the strength of his own hard work and authenticity, without a record label or management.

“I wake up every morning thinking about what I can do to progress, and I go to bed every night thinking of the things I could have done,” Weaver noted.
The to-do list continues beyond music. When he’s not writing, recording, and performing, the 21-year Army veteran is busy growing several brand partnerships with the likes of Nine Line Apparel, Liberty Home Concealment, and Lane Boots. Currently, Ryan’s line of Lane Boots can be purchased via Nordstrom online.
“I wanted to learn more than just the music business. I wanted to learn the branding business,” Weaver said. “I don’t see stopping. There might come a time where I get too old in country music, but I’ll never be too old for my brand.”
Through it all, Ryan works to ensure that every step he takes is one that does his family proud. Ryan’s older brother Aaron, as well as his brother-in-law Randy Billings, were both killed in action during combat. This motivates Ryan to push his dreams as far as they can go, and to build a legacy that honors the ultimate sacrifice of his fallen brothers.
