The Quinn’s Daily Spinn: Wednesday, September 18
When we first met Charlotte, NC native Cameron Floyd a few months back, he was a performer at the Top Writer Series at Nashville’s True Music Room. He would go on to win the round that night, and advance to the Showdown round as a finalist to start the summer.
When you venture over to his music on Spotify, it’s easy to understand why. Floyd’s voice is easy on the ears, and his songwriting sensibility is accessible across a wide spectrum of tastes.
For evidence, look no further than his song, “Rescue.” From 2017’s First, Forgive Yourself, the tune features a lead guitar riff with a splash of blues, which leads us into a fun piece of pop rock that is complete with an undeniable hook and one of the catchiest sing-along bridges you’ll find in modern music.
We’re also excited, because Cameron Floyd is one of six songwriters that will join us at the first-ever Underground Writers Round at Nashville’s storied Douglas Corner Cafe on Friday, September 27. We hope you’ll join us, just as much as we know you’ll enjoy listening to “Rescue” below!
