The Quinn’s Daily Spinn: Friday, November 15

Our November 2019 installment of the Underground Writers Round at Douglas Corner Cafe is tonight beginning at 9 p.m. You can learn more about that here.

At any rate, today’s Daily Spinn features one of our six performers.

One of my personal favorites from The Mad Sugars comes from 2015’s Amateur Hour EP, and is perhaps the EP’s darkest moment. “The More You Spill” is the musical manifestation of mixed signals, clouded by the fog of nightlife and the effects one or two drinks too many. Through hazy guitars and a tense, steadfast (but still plenty danceable) groove, our protagonist attempts to perform mental gymnastics as he sees his hopes for a new connection going up in smoke.

Check it out below, and come see Adam Lawrence of The Mad Sugars join Clayton Kaiser, J.Antonette, Jodi Doidge, Lazer & Levi, and Micah Butler tonight at the historic Douglas Corner Cafe!
