The Quinn’s Daily Spinn: Friday, December 13

One thing we enjoy doing here at UMC is putting the spotlight on young and emerging artists.

Today, Julia Klot has given us the opportunity to do that!

The 19-year old Brooklyn native released her latest album — the 8-track Brooklyn — a couple weeks back. Recorded entirely at the Conservatory of Music at Purchase College, the album features intricate indie-pop arrangements and stories of love, loss, and personal growth.

With that, we offer you the album’s lead single, “Time.” An tender acoustic ballad, the tune is marked by meticulously crafted string arrangements from Klot, producer Ash McMillan, and violinist Isabel Shon, which serve to create dynamic swells of emotion throughout the nearly five-minute waltz.

Take some “Time” out of your Friday for our Daily Spinn below!
