If you’ve been paying attention over in Quinn Spinn land, you know that we’ve been going hard on getting these 2020 episodes ready.

One of them, in the spring, features Chicagoland native Claire Kelly, who will be releasing an album later this year. In fact, we already recorded the episode — we’re just hanging onto it for now, to build suspense.

In the meantime, imagine what it would feel like to attend a friend’s wedding, but that friend is someone whom you’ve secretly loved forever. Claire’s 2019 single, “Congratulations,” captures that feeling so brilliantly it hurts.

Set over a folk-pop landscape accented with the sweet romance of tasteful strings (perfect for wedding season!), our story follows our protagonist as she receives the news of her friend getting married. From there, she watches all the way through the reception, smiling on the outside, while absolutely crushed and in disbelief within.
