It’s New Episode Release Day (N.E.R.D.), and we’re fresh off the heels of a great conversation with Americana artist Ben Danaher.

Ben’s latest full-length release, Still Feel Lucky, is among the many topics discussed on this episode. The album is inspired by the loss of Ben’s father and brother in short succession, taking the pain from those experiences and using it to find perspective, love, and gratitude.

There is perhaps no better example of that notion on the album than the title track. A hopeful country rock tune, “Still Feel Lucky” touches on the composite of the human experiences — including the ugly parts — and helps the listener come away with a sense that, through it all, there is still plenty of beauty to be enjoyed.
