Nashville-based pop artist Rosalie graced us earlier this month with not just one, but two singles that turn the follies of life into something more.

The double-single project, Alchemy, is described by the singer as a project about “transforming the hardships and challenges of life into something beautiful.” Rosalie lends her smoky vocals to display two distinct sides of that notion; lead single “Fool’s Gold” is supported by a cheerful soundscape that meshes electropop with a splash of tropical house. From there, “Gold” takes on a moodier, more reflective presence, blending atmospheric pop with hints of emo and folk.
