The Quinn’s Daily Spinn: Monday, April 20

With another exciting New Episode Release Day (N.E.R.D.) upon us, we dedicate today’s Daily Spinn to our latest Quinn Spinn guest, Claire Kelly!

So, let’s take a trip to “The Land That Time Forgot.” Nods to Celtic folk are prevalent in this sweet, slow waltz, which was released in July 2019. The tune was inspired by the majesty of Eilean Donan Castle and the surrounding landscape in Dornie, Scotland, captured in the album artwork by photographer Jorie Struck.

On “The Land That Time Forgot,” Kelly proves that the most powerful moments are often those expressed gently. This holds especially true just after the 3-and-a-half-minute point, when nearly all instrumentation strips away to reveal a warm closing refrain marked by rich, brilliant harmonies.

Enjoy an easy start to your week below, with Claire Kelly’s “The Land That Time Forgot” as today’s Daily Spinn!
