The Quinn’s Daily Spinn: Monday, May 18

Let’s start off a new week of Daily Spinns with the latest from our friends in Spirits Republic, who spent the weekend celebrating the release of their latest single.

That new single? Why, it’s “City Lights,” a dreamy alt-rock journey that once again allows the trio to showcase their fluid musicianship. An atypical breakup song, the soundscape of “City Lights” acts as a stream of consciousness akin to those we experience in a reflective state of wonder after a life-changing event — complete, of course, with abrupt shifts in demeanor.

And, if you thought Spirits Republic was about to take a break for the summer, that’s where you’re mistaken. The band has plenty more planned for the months ahead, including a music video for their next single, “On the Bound,” which the band describes as “a COVID-19 inspired play on Nashville Bachelorette culture, with a shocking horror movie twist.”

We already can’t wait for that one. But, while we do, “City Lights” is here as today’s Daily Spinn!

The Quinn Spinn is a bi-monthly podcast, featuring conversations with musicians, producers, content creators, and industry professionals, providing insight into what it takes to succeed as a creative entrepreneur in today’s industry.
