The Quinn’s Daily Spinn: Tuesday, May 26

Life’s unexpected turns will always put our choices and actions into perspective. This is especially true when that turn involves a close call with a loved one.

With that, we give you “Got My Way,” the latest single released by Los Angeles-based indie electro trio, Moontower. The new single employs an anthemic alt-pop melody and dynamic, French House-inspired production, which gave vocalist Jacob Culver an outlet to process the emotions that rushed in after nearly losing his mother to a heart attack.

“This song is about the regrets I would have had if we had lost her that day, and I hope it serves as a reminder to tell the ones you love that you love them when you can,” Culver said.

“Got My Way” is the latest step in a fast ascension for Moontower, which consists of Culver, Tom Windish, and Steve Strange. Since releasing its debut EP in May 2019, the trio has toured nationally with The Driver Era and Night Riots; supported the likes of YUNGBLUD, COIN, Bad Suns, and The Cold War Kids; and even played the U.K.’s famed Reading and Leeds Festival last August.
