It’s a timely occasion, as Laura is celebrating the release of “Eager,” her latest single from the forthcoming Treehouse EP. The single, heavily inspired by the Motown influences from Mustard’s formative years, is “a song about celebrating your mistakes” in the dating realm.

“I remember lying on my bed and throwing my phone down after another dating disappointment, and that’s the moment where I came up with the chorus of the song,” Mustard recalls. “In that moment of frustration, I found this place of play and mischief. I think it’s important to laugh at yourself and show yourself a little kindness.”
