The Quinn’s Daily Spinn: Wednesday, July 29

Through everything 2020 has thrown at us so far, at least “We Can Still Sing.”

That’s the message — and title — behind the latest single from folk-pop songstress Allison Leah. The New York-based songwriter released the single in May, inspired by the hope derived from the moments we’ve found togetherness through isolation since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic.

“I wrote ‘We Can Still Sing’ specifically about the COVID-19 pandemic,” she noted. “It’s a song of positivity inspired by the viral videos that came out of Europe, where people were singing from their balconies around the world, including my friend Noah Chichester. As you listen to the song, you will hear a chorus of voices, including Noah’s, as heard from the windows of A Coruña, Spain.”
