The Quinn’s Daily Spinn: Wednesday, August 12

Rofo Audio has been churning out top-notch rock and roll for about as long as we’ve had a publication with “Underground” in the name. It feels like just yesterday that I interviewed frontman Raymond Short on an earlier iteration of The Quinn Spinn about their debut record, Now Broadcasting — but that was about four and a half years ago!

Since then, the power trio from Royersford, PA (or “Rofo,” as it’s known to the locals) have arrived all the way to Album #4, In Veritas, which will be released to the world this Friday, August 14. To celebrate the occasion, they’ve released a video for lead single, “Walls.”

A fun, jaunty rock tune with just a hint of pop punk energy, “Walls” features a hook sure to stick in your mind, and even some nifty, jazz-inspired bass work by Erik Lindenmoyer. As for the video, it plays on the claustrophobia and paranoia we’ve all felt to some degree over the past several months. The band converted their local Apple Street Studios into a bunker-style arrangement, while Short — clad in dark shades and a hoodie — tries to appear as incognito as possible, adding to the “hideaway” feel.

Hide away and watch “Walls” below as today’s Daily Spinn!
