The Quinn’s Daily Spinn: Friday, Sept. 11

Our passions, like the places we enjoy visiting, aren’t always as perfect as they seem when the shine wears off.
That idea drives “Tourist Town,” the new indie folk ballad from Salt Lake City’s Columbia Jones. The tune was inspired by Jones’ visit to Moab, Utah, which is idolized by the visitors who give the town’s year-round residents their primary — and in many cases, only — source of income. Jones likens life in a “Tourist Town” to that of a traveling musician which, for its glamorous appearances, requires a superhuman level of grit when times get tough.
Stick around a while and give some love to “Tourist Town,” which we have for you as today’s Daily Spinn!
