Summer may be (unofficially) over, but don’t tell that to The Brummies. If their new single, “After Midnight,” is any indication, they’re still fully focused on bringing the heat.

The Nashville rock trio — comprised of John Davidson, Jacob Bryant, and Trevor Davis — have gifted us a spicy late-summer anthem that helps the season’s escapism linger for just a few moments longer. “After Midnight” combines 70s-influenced grooves with a glistening indie rock shine, which gleams even brighter thanks to the band’s brilliant harmonies.

“It was particularly fun. I was looking for something that deviated from the main melody in the chorus,” Davidson said.
