LISTEN: Natalie Duque’s ‘Stay’ Reflects on Sudden Loss

Often, the sudden loss of a loved one is the type that hits the hardest.

Natalie Duque explores that idea on her new, heart-wrenching single, “Stay.” Described by Duque as “Adele and Kelly Clarkson imbued with a little Brandi Carlile,” the single was written a few days after the shocking death of basketball legend Kobe Bryant. The dark, dramatic ballad brings forth a stormy ambiance, reflecting the regret of having to say goodbye without closure.

“‘Stay’ touches on the importance of savoring even the most fleeting moments in life,” Duque added.
