On Sunday night, two of modern country music’s stars came to Helping Our Music Evolve (H.O.M.E.), delivering a memorable live stream performance to benefit the American Cancer Society.

The evening featured a twin bill led by Lee Brice, whose current single, “One of Them Girls,” has spent the past three weeks at the top of the Billboard Country Airplay chart. Joining Brice was Missouri native Tyler Farr, who has charted eight singles, including the 2015 number one hit, “A Guy Walks Into a Bar.”

First up was Farr, who is signed to Jason Aldean’s Night Train Records, and whose songwriting credits include collaborations with Cole Swindell, Joe Nichols, and Rhett Akins. Farr’s straight-shooting style and sincere onstage anecdotes were the perfect complement to tender renditions of tunes like the 2013 hit single, “Whiskey in the Water,” as well as the wistful ballad, “I Wish Dogs Could Live Forever.” Farr was also invited back to the stage midway through Brice’s set to deliver his romantic new single, “Soundtrack to a Small Town Sundown.”

Brice followed up Farr’s set, bringing a virtual “Parking Lot Party” full of hits to the viewers at home. In addition to his current chart-topping smash hit “One of Them Girls,” the South Carolina native’s set included soulful, stripped-down renditions of the 2012 number one single “Hard to Love,” the working man’s anthem “Drinking Class,” and the flirtatious mega-hit “Rumor.” In addition, Brice’s good-natured sense of humor and compelling stories from throughout his career added a distinct sense of warmth and intimacy to his set.
