Daily Spinn: Yard of Blondes Deliver Powerful and Purposeful New Single

We’ve decided that the middle of your week needs to rock, and rock hard. That’s why we’re going to sit back and let Yard of Blondes deliver the goods.
The Los Angeles-based act — led by French-born duo Vincent Walter Jacob and Fanny Hill-Jacob — released “Do You Need More?” earlier this month. A true rock and roll scorcher with loud, crunchy guitars and pounding drums, the single was brought to life by the production talents of Billy Graziadei, founder of legendary New York-based hardcore band Biohazard.
As far as the release, Jacob notes a sense of urgency to the timing “Do You Need More?” that fits in well with the uncertainty of the times.
“With everything that’s happening now, you want to make sure (songs) go out, before we all end up in a big explosion,” he joked.
All joking aside, the single confronts the issue of gaslighting as a form of oppression against women — a topic that resonates with the band on a personal level.
“This form of emotional abuse is still common, and we think it deserves more attention,” said Hill-Jacob, who plays bass for the band.
