Daily Spinn: Victoria Bailey’s Intoxicating ‘White Wine’ Waltz

We’re preparing for another takeover tonight! This time, Bakersfield-based country songstress Victoria Bailey will perform over on Facebook Live beginning at 7 p.m. CT.

We have to say, we’re pretty excited about Bailey’s new album, Jesus, Red Wine & Patsy Cline. And, if you pine for the days of traditional, female-fronted country music, you will too. This is some sweet stuff, and it holds up well alongside the likes of Cline, Dolly Parton, and similar legends who defined what it means to be a woman in country.

And, since we’re looking for a song to feature as today’s Daily Spinn, let’s go with the latest single, “Spent My Dime on White Wine.” The nostalgic, moonlit waltz is kissed with the support of a Gospel choir and emotive, blues-tinged guitars. These tones provide the atmosphere for Bailey to get real about life as an independent musician, where cash and accolades are often in short supply, but the ability to touch a lonely heart (or two) through song is compensation for the soul.

Give this one a few Spinns in the ol’ juke box. Enjoy “Spent My Dime on White Wine” to begin your week!
