If you feel like you’ve been living in Groundhog Day for the past nine months, it would seem that Mo7s would agree with you.

The husband-wife duo of Dave and Amy Lewis have returned with a harder, classic rock-inspired edge on “Same Old Grind.” The tune is Mo7s’ way of ushering 2020 out the door, and it was written, produced, mixed, and mastered in quarantined at the duo’s own Gangsta Beagle Studios. Filling out the sound are contributions from drummer Chris Cummings and bassist Terry O’Boyle.

Notably, “Same Old Grind” differs from Mo7s’ previous work, in that the duo shares lead vocal duties. This is in contrast to prior releases, where lead vocals have been handled primarily by Amy Lewis.
