Toronto-based troubadour Aidan Belo, performing under the name His His, released the project’s second single, “Winter Journal.” Belo — who began His His as “an attempt to evoke something rural and honest” after moving to his family’s hobby farm outside of Toronto — has captured the essence of winter chill. Raw, finger-picked guitars and gentle percussion guide us forward, as Belo’s light, mellow vocals contemplate the existential questions that arise with the passage of time.
