As of this writing, it’s still January. That means we’re still in a new year, full of fresh possibilities.

With that, let’s check in with Natalie Duque, whose first offering of the year reflects the hope on the horizon.

“Solid Ground” is a slow-burning indie pop ballad; one which Duque calls “Billie Eilish with a soulful twist.” Co-written alongside fellow pop artist Klee, the tune embraces the possibility of fresh starts in 2021.

“‘Solid Ground’ is about that exhilarating feeling you have, when you push yourself outside your comfort zone to fight past fear, and do something that brings you happiness,” Duque said. “It’s the ultimate ‘New Year/New Beginning’ song and 2021 anthem.”
