The weekend is here, so let’s mark this momentous occasion with a cover of one of The Weeknd’s hits.

On May 16, we enjoyed a special Sunday night of palpable rock and roll energy, courtesy of King Locomotive and Beyond Here. It was one of those nights where just about everything onstage was firing on all cylinders, courtesy of the incredible talent in the room.

This night also taught us to expect the unexpected. Certainly, when Beyond Here pulled out this cover of The Weeknd’s hit song, “Blinding Lights,” we were pleasantly surprised! To me, the mark of a good cover is one that takes the original and delivers it in an inventive light. In that case, these Nashville-based rockers hit the bullseye.
