Red Bull SoundClash Presents Bren Joy vs. Jake Wesley Rogers at Marathon Music Works Dec. 9
Red Bull is bringing its SoundClash series to Nashville’s Marathon Music Works on Thursday, December 9. On that night, two prominent up-and-coming stars will push their musical boundaries and explore each other’s styles as they compete for the right to be called Red Bull SoundClash champion.
Nashville native Bren Joy — whose single “Henny in the Hamptons” has achieved more than 11 million Spotify streams to date — will duke it out with queer glam-pop storyteller Jake Wesley Rogers, whose breakthrough EP, Pluto, was released earlier this year. Inspired by the culture of competing sound systems originating in Kingston, Jamaica, the event will feature these artists doing battle across multiple rounds, while celebrating the power of live music, collaboration, and creative empowerment. In the end, the recipient of the biggest crowd reaction will be crowned the winner.
Red Bull SoundClash will be hosted by Noelle Scaggs of Fitz & The Tantrums, with DJ Jerry J (Old Crow Medicine Show) serving as the House DJ. Tickets are on sale now for $20, and all ages are welcome. Just be sure to bring proof of COVID-19 vaccination or a recent negative test result (within 72 hours).
