LISTEN: Pepperwood’s Soaring New Anthem, ‘San Francisco’

Have you ever had a moment where you just want to get away?

Pepperwood’s Zach Wyatt has, and it inspired the band’s second single!

The Nashville-based rock project — which will be a part of this sweet NashLive! lineup at The Cobra Nashville on April 14 — released “San Francisco” as a hard-driving alt-rock anthem for the escapist in all of us.

“I always go through these seasons in life where I feel like I’m stuck, and I need a change of scenery, and the more stuck I feel, the more drastic that desire to run away and start anew gets,” Wyatt said. “So, in the midst of quarantine, stuck inside my apartment, I longed not to just get outside of those walls, but to get as far away from them as I could.”

As was the case with many of us during COVID-induced quarantine, the pandemic gave Wyatt the chance to learn new skills and experiment, which shines through in the production of this soaring new single.

“I was actually teaching myself how to use GarageBand during early lock down, and I started playing this as I was testing out the DAW,” Wyatt said. “I probably wrote it in 30 minutes or so, and every part in it was me testing out different things.”

It’s worth getting your ears on this one! Check out “San Francisco” below.
