LISTEN: The Northwest Makes Us Long for the ‘Shoreline’
We kindly ask you musicians from North of the Border to keep your sweet new releases coming our way!
The latest? It’s “Shoreline,” the gritty, high-energy indie rock single from The Northwest that captures the youthful spirit of the phrase, “all for one, and one for all.” The natives of Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario have been crafting the single since 2019, completing the project with a chorus inspired by Fleetwood Mac’s “Seven Wonders.”
“‘Shoreline’ was inspired by an episode of the show Band of Brothers,” said vocalist Wayne Watkins. “It’s a song about commitment to a cause, and banding together to make it through a difficult time and place. It may end, but we are going all in to fight another day.”
