Spend Halloweekend at The Caverns

Celebrate Halloween like you never have before—underground!

On Saturday, October 29, The Caverns will host the first ever Captain CaveJam’s Underground Halloween Disco, with a 70s, 80s & 90s DJ Set from the one and only Captain CaveJam. This under-worldly disco dance party can only be experienced underground in The Caverns! Be sure to dress up and enter Captain Cavejam’s costume contest for the chance to be crowned the first winner in The Caverns’ history — and for the chance to win some exciting prizes.

On the following afternoon, catch a movie matinee in The Caverns featuring The Descent, a 2005 horror film where a group of girls decide to go spelunking and make some terrifying discoveries underground. Yes, that means watching The Descent in an actual cave. The movie is rated R, so anyone under the age of 17 must be accompanied by an adult that is 21 years or older.

To top it off, The Caverns will also be hosting Spooky Cave Tours for a fun and educational fright. Follow your tour guide by lantern light through spellbinding caves, as you learn of the haunting stories surrounding The Caverns, local caves, and the immortal people the Cherokee encountered underground.

No one is going to jump out in a costume—no, this eerie tour is deeper than that. But, you’re welcome to wear your costume, and there will be candy for all. Spooky Cave Tours will be held from 2-6 p.m. CT on October 14-16, as well as on October 28-30. Spooky Cave Tours are only $10 when purchased with a ticket to one of The Caverns’ other Halloween events.

Make it a weekend in Grundy County, TN and with a Stay & Cave Package that include lodging, transportation to and from the venue, merchandise, and more. Or, you can crash on The Caverns’ scenic campground beside the Cumberland Plateau at the peak of fall foliage. One camping space is needed per car (or mystery machine), so pack in your friends and come hang. The campground is dog-friendly, so Scooby can ride along too.

Tickets are on sale now at this link. #GoUnderground (literally) for a Halloween weekend you won’t soon forget!
