PREMIERE: Kara Frazier’s ‘I Love You’ is a Timeless Masterpiece
Since coming to Nashville, one thing we’ve always been able to count on is Kara Frazier‘s knack for delivering soulful R&B cuts that are modern, yet timeless. Frazier’s world-class vocal abilities always seem to shine, adding depth and feeling to any track on which she is featured.
Her new single, “I Love You,” continues this glorious tradition.
Frazier’s impassioned performance showcases her impressive vocal command and range, as she paints a vivid story of love and loss in memory of her grandmother and grandfather, who passed away just 40 days apart.
“I genuinely believe that anybody who has experienced great love and loss will connect with this song,” Frazier noted.
Sonically, “I Love You” carries forth a dreamlike sensibility, much like the romances depicted in classic cinema. Produced by Josh Muckala, the track is grounded by the steady presence of a contemporary hip hop drum loop. From there, Frazier’s impeccable delivery is accompanied by lush piano tones and gorgeous jazz guitar accents, resulting in a tastefully layered masterpiece that would hold its own in any era.
“I’m over the moon, because I finally got to have my ‘Chasing Pavements Adele’ moment,” Frazier said. “I’ve always been so inspired sonically and lyrically by her first album, 19. I can imagine this song fitting in rotation with R&B songs of the past and present, while standing out as a timeless piece of art.”
