Nora Tirrell explores that concept on “Parts of You,” a deeply personal song written in dedication of her grandfather, who passed right before Thanksgiving 2021.

“We had an incredibly special relationship, and this loss was very hard on me,” Tirrell said. “This song is a tribute to him, but also a tribute to all loved ones who have been lost. That was the idea; that the song is relatable to anyone who has experienced loss.”

The powerful, piano-driven ballad carries a strong sense of grief, with glimmers of hope that cut through the sorrow. Producer Dan Hale masterfully crafted the soundscape to offer these sonic silver linings, which lift us up like a warm memory from simpler times.
