It’s hard to believe we’re already on the third day of Musikfest! It’s been a wild time at this year’s edition of the nation’s largest free, non-gated music festival — but we’re just getting warmed up!

Gerard’s Pick (The Sheriff’s Selection): Jessica Rose

I ran into Jessica this morning while making my rounds, and learned she was playing two sets — one acoustic at Yuengling Lagerplatz to kick off the day at noon, and this one at 4:30 across the North Side at Zinzenplatz. I stopped by the former to let you know that you’re in for a treat if you catch her later set this afternoon; her powerhouse country vocals and stellar songwriting are sure to delight!

Phillip’s Pick: The Rumble, ft. Chief Joseph Boudreaux, Jr.

Americaplatz (South Side), 7 p.m.

Featuring six Grammy nominated musicians, The Rumble is poised to drop an atomic funk bomb on the Americaplatz stage. Their live show is a symphony of rich color and propulsive sound.
