UMC20: The Best of February 2021

February is a bit of a paradox. It’s the shortest month on the calendar but, to our delight, there is never a shortage of superb tunes.
Listen to the Best of FebruaryFebruary is a bit of a paradox. It’s the shortest month on the calendar but, to our delight, there is never a shortage of superb tunes.
Listen to the Best of FebruaryToday’s Daily Spinn tells a tragic tale; one of a relationship so toxic, that it left a good woman with no other choice, but to do the unthinkable…
Hear Wednesday’s Daily SpinnThe calendar may read that it’s Groundhog Day, but there’s nothing repetitive about what we have for you on this week’s edition of UMC20.
Listen to UMC20Since we became acquainted with Dil last fall, the relentlessly creative artist and producer has wowed us with his versatility. The Michigan native’s knack for experimentation keeps us on our toes in the best way, and positions him to grow his platform outside of genre-specific constraints.
Hear Tuesday’s Daily SpinnYou may have heard that Nashville-based songwriter Jess Nolan will deliver a special Live from the 615 performance this Friday, December 18 at 6 p.m. CT. If you hadn’t heard that yet… well, now you have!
It’s perfect timing, considering Nolan just released not just one, but two singles last Friday.
Hear ‘A Little Light / Change’Continuing with his latest single, “Dream On,” Jon Pattie has plenty of Reflections in store for us over the next few months.
Dream On, Dreamer…Welp… I’ll hold myself personally responsible for the delay on this one. I usually put UMC20 together on Monday night, but seeing as I spent Labor Day driving 14 1/2 hours back to Nashville from New Jersey, the spirit was willing… but my eyes were not about to stay open for long enough to pull it off.
Listen to UMC20Last week, I took a virtual trip to Toronto, ON to attend the listening party for Holly Clausius’ newest EP, Sunflower. Many of her collaborators were present –including Kyle Gamble, Olivia Guselle, Alex Purcell, and a number of fans (myself included) — to hear an EP packed with brilliantly-told stories.
Check it Out!Enjoy, if you will, the sweet sounds of closure.
