Our highly-educational and downright glorious weekend in Lancaster for the 10th Annual LAUNCH Music Conference continued into Saturday, where summer-like temperatures served as a stunning backdrop for the evening’s music.
The 10th annual LAUNCH Music Conference takes place next month in downtown Lancaster. We’ll be heading out there to get edumacated in new music and industry trends.
And, once again, we’ll be in good and familiar company.
The First Friday of the month meant that it was once again time for South Bethlehem to be filled with the sounds of live, local music.
First and foremost, it’s important to point out how absolutely spectacular the weather was on Sunday. Pleasant temperatures and sunny skies were complemented by a gentle, yet glorious late summer breeze that made being outside the ideal activity for anyone with a pulse.
Add in various forms of Sangria and the folk-punk stylings of Alex Mery & The Townsmen, and you have yourself a perfect Sunday afternoon.

I was excited to go to the South Side of Musikfest on Wednesday night. Many of the performers that I’ve been looking forward to covering were making their ‘Fest debuts playing inside of the Martin Guitar Lyrikplatz. This came at a perfect time as, after five days of walking around the North Side of the festival, I was ready to give my legs a break.
We have another beautiful day on tap as we creep slowly toward the second weekend of Musikfest. This was another day where it was hard to narrow our list down to five acts. Trust us when we tell you, there is a lot worth seeing and hearing tonight.

Let’s address the elephant in the room: Musikfest begins Friday. Just like last year, you can be sure that Lehigh Valley Underground will have daily previews of the action as the days go by.
