Saturday’s Wings & Strings American Cancer Society benefit is fast approaching at Hellertown’s Dimmick Park, and we still have to hear from some of the performers who will grace the stage this weekend.
Enter Lou Franco, one of the Valley’s most sought after and enduring musicians, who briefly shares his thoughts with us on the importance of the event.
Our series highlighting the musicians on this Saturday’s upcoming Wings & Strings American Cancer Society benefit at Hellertown’s Dimmick Park continues with Glenn Wasserman. Wasserman will perform alongside his band, The Mississippi Pig Farmers, which is comprised of veteran musicians who all believe in coming together for a cause.

We are now within a week of the American Cancer Society’s Wings & Strings benefit on Saturday, July 28. The day-long event will feature local food, local beer, and local music from an all-star lineup of the Valley’s performers.

Back in May, Scott Marshall and I were talking about collaborating on some upcoming events, including his Concert for the Kids pediatric cancer benefit in June, as well as his recent First Friday performance. While on the phone, he approached me to have Lehigh Valley Underground be a part of something that, in our region, is the first of its kind.
In the spirit of cancer awareness and making a difference in the community, Scott Marshall is keeping the momentum going from last week’s Concert for the Kids at Steel Pub.
This time, the singer-songwriter is teaming up with the American Cancer Society for a unique benefit at Hellertown’s Dimmick Park.
