UMC20: April Showers Us with Fresh Jams (Apr. 5, 2022)

We’ve been waiting patiently over the past couple weeks to bring you some of this fire.

OK… so, you may have heard some of these tunes before (especially if you’ve been paying attention to the past couple editions of Songs You Should Hear). Nonetheless, there’s still plenty of reason to be excited, because you get to connect (or reconnect) with some incredible artists on this week’s UMC20.

A couple of songs are even making return appearances here, simply because we felt they were worth another spin or two. Whether it’s for the first time or the 100th, you’ll like what you have to spin below!

UMC20: Catching Up! (Mar. 22, 2022)

Things got a little busy around these parts last week, which is why we weren’t quite able to get you a fresh, hot batch of fire back on the 15th.

With that said, we think what we have for you on this week’s all-new UMC20 is worth the wait! We start off by rocking your world, before things get a bit more tender in the middle. Then, we have some pop anthems on tap before things get suuuuper experimental toward the end.

Ready to dive in? Same here. Let’s go!

UMC20: New Faces, Exciting Places, and a Dash of Holiday Cheer

Want new faces on this week’s edition of UMC20? We have plenty of first-timers who made the cut on our weekly playlist!

Want exciting places? About 30% of this week’s UMC20 is dedicated to artists on this week’s upcoming, UMC-affiliated shows, including Red Bull SoundClash at Marathon Music Works, and this Friday’s high-energy rock bill at Cobra, presented by NashLive!

And, because it’s the season, we’ve started to pepper some holiday cheer into the mix this week!

There’s something here that you’re sure to love. Perhaps even multiple somethings. Why don’t you go ahead and find out for yourself?

Songs You Should Hear: Choose Self-Love, and Don’t ‘Feel Bad’ About It

The day after Thanksgiving is a waking food coma, ain’t it?

I know I feel that way right now. Fortunately, there’s always music to help us ease back into action, as we’ll be doing this weekend. Might as well get started by giving you some Songs You Should Hear!

Also, Jenna returns to our now-weekly tradition. In fact, we’ll start off with her latest pick below!

Andrew LaVogue’s ‘Surrounded by the Northern Lights’ is a Welcomed Escape

Andrew LaVogue’s latest instrumental EP, Surrounded by the Northern Lights, takes us through the story of a three-day retreat in search of mental clarity and peace. I hesitated to call it “instrumental” above because, the way he performed and arranged these songs, you’d think he’s right next to you talking about this retreat.
