The Quinn Spinn Five-Point Preview: Sept. 19, 2016

Remember to change the channel – First, it is important to note that live broadcasts of The Quinn Spinn will take place on our YouTube livestream, as opposed to the originally announced Facebook Live. Links to the stream will be shared on Quinn Spinn and Lehigh Valley Underground social media channels, including Facebook and Twitter.

An old friend joins us – DJ Pearlman of hard rock juggernaut REVEL 9 is the only appropriate guest for a season premiere of The Quinn Spinn. You’ve heard DJ’s voice at the beginning of every piece of Quinn Spinn programming since September 2014 by way of REVEL 9’s song, “All I’ve Become.” Tonight, you’ll also hear DJ talk about the band, the industry, and their appearance at Slatington Bike Night this Saturday, September 24.

New music premieres – The season premiere of The Quinn Spinn will feature brand new tunes from #GoodFriendsoftheShow old and new, including Second Player Score, Lemonade Kid, and SloFunkPump.

Local flavor – We have no shortage of tunes from artists native to our home in eastern Pennsylvania, including Michael Meade, Mesa Jane, Roi and the Secret People, Acoustic Kitty Project, and more!

Popular segments return – We’re doing something special tonight by bringing back classic Quinn Spinn segments. Expect to hear some Stupid News with The Quinn, as well as Somethin’ Good a bit later on in the show (formerly Good News with The Quinn).

DJ Pearlman of REVEL 9 to Join The Quinn Spinn Live Season Premiere!

To usher in the Facebook Live era of The Quinn Spinn, Lehigh Valley Underground is honored and privileged to announce long-time Good Friend of the Show DJ Pearlman as the first guest of our official podcast’s new season on Monday, September 19 at 6 p.m. ET.

You might know DJ from Long Island-based hard rock juggernaut REVEL 9, and followers of The Quinn Spinn will recognize him for a number of reasons. Not only is DJ always a fun interview – here’s proof – but his band’s song, “All I’ve Become,” has kicked off every piece of Quinn Spinn programming in existence since September 2014.

DJ’s upcoming appearance on the show also comes at the perfect time: REVEL 9 will be entering the Lehigh Valley on Saturday, September 24 to once again perform at Slatington Bike Night. Taking place from 12-8 p.m. and sponsored by our good friends at The Fyre & Ice Show, Slatington Bike Night promises to feature food, fun and, of course, awesome music. LVU will be in attendance all day long. So really, DJ’s interview on The Quinn Spinn’s season premiere is just the start of a wild week for us!

Make sure you like The Quinn Spinn on Facebook so you don’t miss the action. And, of course, visit our friends at The Valley Ledger for being such Good Friends (and sponsors) of the Show.

LVU Names The Valley Ledger as The Quinn Spinn’s Feature Sponsor

The Valley Ledger is joining The Quinn Spinn’s live party this fall.

The online news organization, which covers happenings throughout the Lehigh Valley, is joining forces once again with Lehigh Valley Underground as the feature sponsor of our Official Podcast. This isn’t The Valley Ledger’s first foray into Podcast Land with Lehigh Valley Underground and The Quinn Spinn; the Ledger was the official sponsor of QSLehighValley earlier this year, a local “Spinn” on the show, which has now been combined with its parent show into one, two-hour long Facebook Live broadcast every week.

“The Valley Ledger has been a valued partner of Lehigh Valley Underground from the very beginning,” said Gerard Longo, Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Lehigh Valley Underground. “Joe Thompson and his team are the first folks I thought of when looking for an organization to sponsor this new, live era of The Quinn Spinn.”

The Quinn Spinn, sponsored by The Valley Ledger, premieres live on the podcast’s official Facebook page on Mon., Sept. 19 from 6-8 p.m., with replays to be made available on SoundCloud, iTunes, and LehighValleyUnderground.com.

The Quinn Spinn is Going (Facebook) Live This Fall!

After exclusively pre-recording since the show’s launch in 2013, The Quinn Spinn, the Official Podcast of Lehigh Valley Underground, is going live this fall!

Starting with the season premiere on September 19, each new recording of The Quinn Spinn will be streamed via Facebook Live on Mondays from 6-8 p.m. For two hours, viewers will get a behind-the-scenes look at the show as it happens, adding an interactive element that will allow for live feedback and requests from listeners.

As always, The Quinn Spinn will feature interviews, topical conversation and, of course, independent music from the Lehigh Valley and around the world. The two-hour time slot will allow The Quinn Spinn to house all of its music under one roof – the first hour of each new episode will be dedicated to local artists, while the second hour will feature those from anywhere in the world.

Upon completion of each new episode of The Quinn Spinn, replays will be made available on SoundCloud, iTunes, and LehighValleyUnderground.com.
